		<description>You&#039;re right on with this post. Dookie hooked me in middle school as well. They&#039;re a generation-breaker and give me something in common with my 7th graders. The look on their face when they hear their teacher listens to their favorite band is priceless.</description>

		<description>Amen! Green Day actually didn&#039;t hook me with Dookie--I somehow missed that in high school (though I can&#039;t fathom why--I love the album now). I started listening in college, after Nimrod, and I love them more with each new album they release.</description>

		<description>That show had to be awesome! This is totally going to show my age, but back when CDs first got popular, I&#039;m proud to admit my first CD was Green Day (and I&#039;m pretty sure it was THEIR first CD, too). Next to Alanis Morissette and Ace of Base! 

I love your connection with this to writing and having a &quot;stamp&quot;. Great way to think about it. One thing I love about music is how it can send you back in time to a certain event or moment in your life.</description>
