		<description>Ah, thank you! My manuscript was just rejected and when I read over my query I had a sneaking suspicion that it was my Achilles heel! This is (part of) what I&#039;ve been doing wrong - what a relief to see the problem for what it is and be able to work at fixing it. As always, your blog is so helpful. I&#039;m also reading your book at the moment and it&#039;s changing how I see my writing. Well done.</description>

It&#039;s a great lesson in making sure you twist yourself into the ignorant reader&#039;s point of view (ignorant not being a pejorative here) so that you can see there could be three different books in that first one. Of course, this advice doesn&#039;t make writing a query any less loathsome a task.</description>
