Great contest! Coming very late to it, but I’m going to get involved. Thanks for all the help on the site - and now this.

Hi, Julia–I clicked somebody’s ‘pingback’ and saw the contest is for the ‘first 500 words of your completed novel.’ Hope this helps! Julie

Oops! I meant to post that comment here: the contest calls for ‘the first 500 words of your completed (MG or YA) novel, I believe. I’ve seen this mentioned a couple of times on Mary’s site. Julie

I do not have a blog or web page (I am a farmer, and the cows get upset if I spend too much time online). I am working on a website at the current time however.
Does this disqualify me, or could I post KIDLIT.COM as part of my Facebook to fufill contest rule number 2? Most of my Facebook friends are authors and illustrators, so I am sure they would be interested.
Thank you!

Hi Mary:
I posted the link on my Facebook page and in on the message board at the website Agent Query.
Great contest. Thanks for doing it.

I am so stoked to enter this contest. But, I don’t have a blog. I don’t twitter. I don’t know about sidebars. I am new on Facebook, however and I will try to obey that stipulation. Hopefully, I’ll do what’s required. THANKS!

Can’t wait to see the results so I can learn something. This contest is so helpful.
I just read the results from the last contest–those query letters rocked. Revised mine after gaining some insight here. Thanks.
P.S.
This is my new *favorite* blog. -
Hi,
I moderate a writing community called LegendFire, and recently we received a post from a new member that advertised this contest. When confronted about leaving what looked exactly like spam at our forum, the member replied that one of the requirements of entering the contest was to post this advertisement on two writing forums. Is this true? Can a legitimate contest be urging its participants to spam unsuspecting websites just so they can enter?
We have treated the post like we would any other spam and deleted it. Does that still count, as far as this contest participant is concerned? Or does our unwillingness to play along negate her entry?

It’s March 23rd. Did I miss the contest winners announcement? I can’t seem to find any info.

Oops. Found them. Thanks!
